Weekly Horoscope: October 23-29, 2023

Transformation time! Scorpio season begins in the leadup to the weekend's powerful lunar eclipse.

The week kicks off with the Sun joining Mercury and Mars in the sign of high finance, power and deep intimacy, Scorpio. The days grow shorter, and we spend more time within, literally and figuratively. For this sign invites us to look behind appearances and get to the heart of any matter. The truth shall set us free, even if it is uncomfortable. And it's time to explore our deep bonds and passions, fueled by intense emotion. The main theme is transformation.

On Tuesday, the Moon enters compassionate Pisces, harmonizing with and softening the Scorpio energies. This is the most positive day of the week for getting things done. Intuition helps us to be in the right place at the right time. Good aspects to Mercury and Mars help with clear thinking and assertion and action.

The positive trend continues on Wednesday. Luna makes a productive sextile to inventive Uranus in Taurus. We should be able to find solutions that are both outside the box and with practical applications. She conjoins Neptune in the evening, making it primetime for mindful or artistic pursuits.

Week’s end is decidedly more unsettled. The Moon enters feisty Aries early Thursday. We’re fired up and ready to take on the day. But with Mars applying to an enervating aspect to Neptune, we may have trouble asserting ourselves as others send confusing signals or play the victim.

Friday morning, Luna conjoins wounded healer Chiron. We may get a reminder that we need some self-care to achieve our goals. It’s best to avoid deep relationship talks late that evening, as a square to Pluto can mean potentially explosive confrontations arise with little provocation.

Autumn's second eclipse falls on Saturday at 4:24 pm ET, a partial lunar (Full Moon) one in Taurus. The good news: this one officially wraps up the eclipse series on the Taurus/Scorpio axis that began on November 19, 2021. During which we have seen massive changes to the economy, to say the least, and it has dramatically impacted our personal financial habits.

This one could bring a breakthrough, way to marshal your resources to both respect the bottom line and enjoy more of the good life. The Moon is in Taurus where it is exalted (functions beautifully); it is one of the two signs that is ruled by luxury-loving Venus. Unlike the other sign, Libra, the Bull also is sensible and resourceful. Because Jupiter is involved, over the next few weeks a new money-making opportunity could arise, either a side hustle or perhaps a raise from your current employer.

The entire weekend is extremely emotional, though. For that lovely Moon in Taurus is opposed by not only the Sun in Scorpio, but also Mercury and Mars. A desire to acquire tangible assets (Taurus) is fine, but can only give emotional satisfaction if shared with someone close or with society (Scorpio). This eclipse can lead to a sustainable shift in lifestyle. For Taurus also rules habits, good and bad, and the Scorpio influence can help us transform those that are not for our highest good.
